Why does the pressure not build up sometimes?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Water contamination is the most common reason. As you know, brake systems get heated up \u2013 and this heat is enough to evaporate water that seeps in, turning it into steam \u2013 which in turn results in sponginess. <\/span><\/p>\n

Old brake fluid can be another reason. It loses its integrity over time and can get vaporized, leading to ineffective braking. <\/span><\/p>\n
